Villa "Il Forteto" has originally (XIIIth and XIVth century) been a fortification, some important components of which reappeared during restoration, and were also preserved. The colonnades around the courtyard as well as the walls of the tower bear witness to the long history of this building and form the basis for the especially sophisticated restoration as well as the charming environment. The rooms are generous and high, each with own bathroom. The rooms in the tower and on the ground floor each have a large private lounge. On the ground floor of the tower there is a room for tastings: oil, wine, honey, cheese (ask for it during booking) with an historic fireplace as well as a room for conferences or dinners with direct exit to the garden.
A living room of 85 sqm with a piano, which can be reconstructed into a conference room, connects the ground floor with the level of the garden where dining room, professional kitchen and service rooms are located.
The kitchen opens up into a shadowy patio with barbecue and pizza oven.
The annex of the villa consist of a living room with a porcelain stove which can be operated with wood. Behind a beautiful arcade the kitchen is located.
A fresco from around 1854 on the stairs' wall reminds of former restorations and accompanies you to the first floor with the two bright rooms, each with own bathroom.
